What is Custom Soundwave Jewellery?

Soundwave Jewelry is a concept Danielle created in 1999 after seeing the image of a sound wave for the first time.
As an artist and classically trained goldsmith she takes the visual image of your personal sound wave and engraves it onto a piece of one of a kind custom jewelry. Sound waves,                  being self identifying, allow you to record your own personal history and express your unique visual language. Custom Soundwave Jewellery creates an opportunity for you to    write your own story and solidify it in history. Recordings can disintegrate, photos will fade and technology is lost but the tradition of jewellery remains the same.

How long will my piece of Custom Soundwave Jewellery take to create?

Your piece Custom Soundwave Jewelry will take approximately 4-8 weeks to create.
Production time varies based on the time of year and it is always best to contact Danielle for a estimated date of completion.

How do I find my ring size?

The best way to determine your ring size is to visit any of your local jewellery stores. It is common practice to request a sizing. The most accurate way to choose the size for your Custom Soundwave Ring is to request to be sized with the 6mm wide sizing bands. If your ring is a surprise try asking a family member or a close friend for help determining the correct size.

Should you be unable to size your finger at a local jewellery shop ring sizers can be sent to your address after your deposit is paid.

How do I record my sound wave? How long can my recording be?

After your deposit is made Danielle will be in contact with you to discuss your design, offer a recommended recording length for your piece of custom jewellery and guide you through recording instructions.

How do I hear my piece of Custom Soundwave Jewelry?

A custom CD will be provided for your listening pleasure.

Where is my piece of Custom Soundwave Jewelry made?

All Custom Soundwave Jewellery is created by Danielle Crampsie; creator, owner and operator of Soundwave Jewellery, and is based in Toronto, Canada.

Shipping
Shipping for custom pieces is done using an express post international courier and includes tracking/insurance. Shipping cost and times vary based on the country. Pieces shipped using express post will be insured and tracked and require a signature upon delivery.

Ready to wear pieces offer a choice of shipping options. Please note we are not responsible for lost items which are shipped standard post without tracking.
Duties and Taxes
Purchases within Canada will be charges the applicable taxes for your province.
Purchases outside of Canada will be subjected to any applicable taxes/duties based on the country.

Sizing
An accurate ring size is required. If you are unsure of your ring size please visit a local jewellery shop to have your finger sized. It is best to have your finger measured using the 6mm wide ring sizer as thinner rings will fit looser. Ring sizers can also be mailed to you upon request.

Returns
Returns or exchanges are not possible on custom pieces.

We are happy to exchange ready to wear pieces within 15 days of receipt. You may also choose a shop credit which can be used towards a piece of Custom Soundwave Jewelry. Shop credits must be used with 60 days. Should you wish to return your piece please contact us within 5 days of receipt to obtain a return code.

Jewellery must be returned unworn and in its original packaging. Refunds will not be issued on shipping charges and you will be responsible for the shipping cost of all returned items.

Please enclose item in a padded envelope and ship them via registered mail which includes a tracking number. We will not be responsible for returned items which have been lost in the mail.

We will not be responsible for any brokerage fees or unnecessary duties charges. To prevent duties please mark your return as “Canadian made goods return/repair” and mark the value as $50. Brokerage fees should be marked as charged to shipper. If these instructions are not followed and your return will be refused and sent back to you.
